Lekursi Castle is probably the most popular place to watch the sunset and not without a reason. The castle is located on a hill with great views over Saranda and the Ionian Sea and since it hosts a restaurant, you can have a romantic sunset dinner while enjoying live music.
Italia Caffe is a small cafe-bar on Rruga Butrinti that is easily overlooked, but it’s actually a perfect location to watch the sunset. It’s not too far from the center of Saranda and it has a small deck with an amazing view from where you can actually see the sun set into the sea, rather than behind the cityscape.
Bougainville Bay is one of the best luxury resorts in Saranda and it is also perfectly located to watch the sunset, even if you’re not staying there. You can rent a lounger to watch the sunset on the beach or you can enjoy dinner on the panorama terrace of the BlueBlue Gourmet restaurant. If you’re staying at the resort, you can also enjoy the sunset from the infinity pool on the rooftop of the hotel.
Pizza Roel not only has good pizzas, they also have a large panorama deck on the seafront. Being located a bit further down Rruga Butrinti, you can always see the sun set right on the horizon of the Ionian Sea.
Right next to Pizza Roel is the Asi Rooftop Hotel, which, as the name suggests, has a rooftop bar. This makes the views even more spectacular, especially during sunset.
Sunsets are free, so you don’t always need to splurge on expensive cocktails or fancy dinners to enjoy a romantic view. Kantina is a simple food truck with a small patio where you can still enjoy the beautiful view with a cheep beer. Hungry? Simply get a souvlaki or other snack and you’re settled on a shoestring budget.
Santa Quaranta is one of the most luruxious resorts in Saranda and literally has it all: beaches, bars and a restaurant and swimming pool. You don’t need to stay here to get in and you’ll have an amazing sunset experience from almost anywhere within this luxury resort.
Mango Beach is one of the most popular daytime and nightlife venues in Saranda. It has a large beach and a bar and restaurant overlooking the beach, so it’s a perfect place to watch the sunset, after which the nightlife slowly starts and you can dance the night away in their disco.
