Gjirokastra is also called the city of stones, and is UNESCO protected World Heritage Site. The city of Gjirokastra has many historic buildings and Ottoman-style houses and is a magical place to visit.
What To Expect From This Tour?
You can be picked up from your hotel or from the Port of Saranda after which you will be brought to the city of Gjirokastra, which is a 1 hour drive.
In Gjirokastra the tour guide will show you the highlights of the city, including Gjirokastra Castle, the Ethnographic Museum and some of the Ottoman houses where you can see the traditional way of living. You will also have some free time to explore the city or buy souvenirs at the bazar.
After returning back to Saranda you will be dropped of at the original point of departure.
What Is Included In This Tour?
Transport with an air-conditioned vehicle from Saranda to Gjirokastra, a live tour guide and entry tickets for museums are included in the price of the tour. Food and drinks are not included.
