About The Roses Of Chemeria Monumental Cemetery
“Roses of Chameria” is a memorial cemetary in loving memory of 2900 Albanians of Chameria who lost their lives due to thirst, starvation and diseases in the aftermath of World War II. Between 1944-1945 the Chams were expelled to Albania by Napoleon Zervas after refusing to join the National Republican Greek League (EDES).
The cemetery and monument were built between 2012-2013 on an area of 12,000 square meters to commemorate the events.
