About The Kordhoca Bridge
The Kordhoca Bridge is a historic bridge over the Drinos River that was built in 1820. For long, it was the only road from Gjirokastra to Libohova and Ionannina. The bridge is 20 meters long, 7 meters high, 3.7 meters wide and has a typical oriental style with arches and is paved with cobblestones. It pretty much survived over time due to its strength and a restoration in recent years also helped to bring it back to its original state. The bridge is worth making a quick photo stop on the way, especially with the beautiful mountains in the background. The bridge also appeared in a couple of Albanian movies.
